02Solutions · Video intelligence
AI video intelligence.
Video intelligence pairs camera networks with edge analytics. Operators see what happened, where it happened and when it started.
01Problem
More footage than eyes.
A camera network records around the clock. Operators cannot watch every screen, so incidents are often discovered late and reviewed after the fact.
- 01Operators watch screens where nothing happens most of the time.
- 02Incidents are often discovered after someone reports them.
- 03Reviewing recorded video takes hours per case.
02System · Video intelligence
Detection at the edge.
Each control point pairs a fixed overview camera with a PTZ camera for detail. Analytics on the AI video recorder check the streams against configured event rules and forward each event, with its clip, to the operator.
Fixed overview camera
Constant coverage of the scene, day and night.
PTZ camera
20× optical zoom in the reference configuration, for detail on demand.
AI video recorder
Runs analytics and records video at the edge.
Operator console
Event review, with PTZ control from a joystick console.

03Architecture
From pole to operator.
Cameras connect through a switch at each pole. Wireless links carry the streams to the recorder and the local control point; selected events continue to regional command.
04Capabilities
What the system detects.
Priority 1 · Security
- Smoke / fire
- Early visual signs of smoke or open flame.
- Aggressive behavior
- Fights and aggressive movement between people.
- Crowd density
- People gathering above a set density in a defined zone.
- Acoustic event
- Explosions, screams or breaking glass, detected from audio.
Priority 2 · Public order
- Person down
- A fall, for example during a seizure or after an injury.
- Unattended object
- Items left behind, and suspicious behavior around them.
- Smoking in restricted areas
- Smoking in public or prohibited places.
- Littering
- Illegal disposal of waste.
- Public-order events
- Selected events, such as drinking in public places.
Platform
- Event clips
- Each event arrives with the recording from the moment it started.
- PTZ follow-up
- Operators take control of the PTZ camera to inspect an event in detail.
- Day and night
- Infrared illumination on the PTZ cameras in the reference configuration.
- Local recording
- Video stays at the edge for later review.
05Operational workflow
Detect. Verify. Respond.
- 01
Detect
Analytics flag a configured event on a camera stream.
- 02
Classify
The event gets a type and a priority.
- 03
Alert
The operator sees the event, the camera and the clip.
- 04
Verify
The operator checks the live view and takes PTZ control if needed.
- 05
Respond
A unit goes out over DMR radio, or a warning plays through the IP speaker.
- 06
Record
The event and its video stay in the archive for review.
06Deployment model
From survey to operation.
Storage is sized to the retention the site needs. Reference configurations keep 10 to 30 days of video, and capacity grows by adding drives.
- 01
Assess
Camera positions, sight lines, lighting, power and link paths.
- 02
Design
Coverage plan, detection rules per zone and storage sizing.
- 03
Deploy
Poles, cameras, switches, radio links and recorders.
- 04
Integrate
Event routing to local and regional control points.
- 05
Operate
Monitoring, maintenance and system development.
07Integration
Part of one system.
- Command and control
Events appear on the operational map and in the queue.
- Video search
Recorded video becomes searchable by person and vehicle attributes.
- Edge infrastructure
Batteries, solar power and local recording for remote poles.
- Connectivity
Wireless links and network design between poles and control rooms.
DMR radio
Dispatch to field units over their radios.
IP speakers
Voice warnings and announcements at the pole.
Existing cameras can connect where the equipment supports it.
